FlinterFile: Depeche Mode- Just Can’t Get Enough
In 1981, Depeche Mode had their first UK top 10 hit. The song, written by the later Erasure member Vince Clarke, would especially sell well in the live 12 inch version. The song was inspired by a song from Spandau Ballet, To Cut A Long Story Short. It had been played live for about a year and a half, when the group went into the studio and recorded the album, which sounded like it was live. However, the only hit the album produced was this song, the rest was seen as rubbish. Vince Clarke left the band after this album and joined Erasure. The only hit was number 8 in the UK and a favourite in American clubs. Enjoy
