FlinterFile: Falco- Rock Me Amadeus
In 1986, Falco had his first international hit. Although he had success in Germany and Austria, the rest of the world didn’t know him yet. That would change when the Dutch songwriters Rob Bolland & Ferdi Bolland wrote a song with him, about the classical composer Mozart. The song tells the story of Mozart and it suggests that Mozart was a sort of pop star in his age. The original song was completely in German, but for America, a special version with an English voice-over was made. The song was a number 1 hit in both the US and the UK. Enjoy
