FlinterFile: Henry Mancini- Peter Gunn
In 1958, Henry Mancini recorded a theme song for a new television series: Peter Gunn. The theme song, which is very simple, since it only knows one chord, would be a rock ‘n roll success. The first time it hit the charts was by Ray Anthony, who played the song in the arrangement of Henry Mancini. Duane Eddy had a hit with it in the same year, making it number 6 in the UK. Emerson, Lake & Palmer included it on a live album, which was their hit version and the Blues Brothers also used it in their movie, making it yet again a hit. Enjoy the original
