Song of the day: Bruce Springsteen- Dancing In The Dark
Bruce Springsteen had quite some problems writing hits. And what do you do, when you’re a singer? You write a song about it! The manager of Bruce Springsteen, Jon Landau, asked for a hit single for the album Born in the U.S.A. (1984). Although there were already over 70 songs written for the album, a real hit wasn’t there. And so Bruce wrote a song in one night, which would be the last song to be added to the album. As it was the first single for the album, it turned out to be the hit they were looking for: in the UK it was number 4, in the US it would be the biggest hit for Bruce Springsteen, peaking at number 2. After that, the album got a lot of attention, causing it to become a real hit album. Enjoy
